The International Conference on Nonlinear Programming with Applications

The International Conference on Nonlinear Programming with Applications, jointly organized by Fudan University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS, and supported by The National Natural Science Foundation of China and Chongqing Normal University, was successfully held at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, May 29-June 1, 2006.

The main topics of the conference  are

      Generalized Convexity

      Global Optimization

      Nonlinear Programming

      Variational Analysis

      Optimal Control

      Vector Optimization

      Variational Inequalities

      Set-valued Optimization

More than 150 participants attended the conference. More than 50 participants were from outside main land China. Three keynote lectures (50 minites) and 19 invited lectures (30 minutes) were presented at the conference .

One of the three co-chairs, Professor Xiaoqi Yang, from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, announced the beginning of the opening ceremony of the conference.  Executive Vice –President of Fudan University, Professor Yihua Zhang, delivered a welcome speech. Deputy dean of the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS, Professor Shouyang Wang, also one of the three conference co-chairs, delivered a congratulation speech at the opening ceremony.
