inauguratory G. Farkas Prize

The G. Farkas Prize of the INFORMS Optimization Society was established
in 2006, and is administered by the Optimization Society (OS) of INFORMS.
The Farkas Prize is awarded for the most significant contribution to the
field of optimization by a researcher, or a team of researchers. It is
awarded bi-annually at the INFORMS National Meeting. The prize was presented
by the Chairman of the INFORMS Optimization Society,Professor Tamas Terlaky,
at the Society meeting on 5 November 2006, during the INFORMS annual meeting
5-8 November 2006 held at Pittsburgh, PA, USA."
