Salary Level A: A$75,612 - A$80,874 per year (plus 9% employer superannuation
and leave loading)
The School of Mathematics & Statistics is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and suitably qualified person to undertake research on an ARC-funded project entitled gNew Theory and Methods of Robust Global Optimizationh.
To succeed in this role, you should have a PhD in a relevant area of mathematics and sound knowledge of optimization theory and methods. In addition, you will have excellent analytical and problems solving skills; experience in solving non-linear and non-convex optimization problems; good written and communication skills and experience in computational aspects of optimization, preferably using Matlab.
This is a fixed-term position of one year, with the possibility of renewal for a further period of 2 years.
