Welcome Party
Participants: all members
Period: late April - early May
Details: Once a year, we hold a party to welcome the new
students (4th-year bachelor, 1st-year master, 1st-year
doctor, and visiting students), the new visiting researchers
and post-docs, and the new staffs.
Send-Off Party
Participants: students, post-docs, visiting researchers,
any member interested
Period: middle of July - early August
Details: Once a year, the students hold a party for
those that will take the graduate course entrance
examination.
Celebration for Passing the
Entrance Examination
Participants: all members
Period: middle of October
Details: Once a year, we hold a party for the students
of the laboratory that had been admitted for the graduate
program of our department.
Year-End Party
Participants: all members
Period: December
Details: Once a year, we hold a year-end party.
Farewell Party
Participants: all members
Period: middle of February - late March
Details: Once a year, we hold a farewell party for
everyone that are leaving the laboratory in the period.
Barbecue Party
Participants: any member (that are interested)
Period: May - September
Details: Once a year, we may hold a barbecue party
outside of the campus, with or without members of other
laboratories.
Sports Competition (Department)
Participants: students (that are interested)
Period: June (first semester), November (second semester)
Details: Twice a year, the students of our laboratory
compete with other students of different laboratories from
the Department of Applied Mathematics and Physics. The
chosen sport varies between futsal, softball and volleyball.
Trip
Participants: any member that will graduate in the
period (that are interested)
Period: February - March
Details: Once a year, the students that will graduate in
the period may travel together inside/outside Japan.
